In 2024, we shared 52 NEW adventure videos to our YouTube channel. 52!! Hitting our weekly goal was accomplished BUT, in all those experiences... which ones are our favorites?

Excellent question!

Per our very short annual tradition of two years, we each very carefully and strategically chose our top 3 favorite adventures and made a video talking about those specifically. We call this tradition a "Recap Video" and it is a lot of reminiscing!

You can see that video here.

However, if you don't want to watch that right now, here are our top 3 (technically 6) adventures from 2024.

Dani's top 3:

  1. Oklahoma Renaissance Festival - I just love a great themed time and an excuse to create a costume. Highly recommend this Ren Fest.

  2. Greenwood Rising - Our first year in Tulsa consisted of diving headfirst into history and landmarks. This museum covers dark (yet extremely important) Tulsa AND American history. Highly recommend, but if you go, mentally prepare for heavy information.

  3. Woolaroc Wildlife & Nature Preserve - This is another amazing way to learn about Oklahoma history. Between Oil history, Native American history, and wildlife preserve history, you have a well rounded day ahead of you if you head up to Woolaroc.

Sawyer's top 3:

  1. Oklahoma Aquarium - Sawyer was obsessed with the theming of each area and especially loved the shark tunnel. This experience is AMAZING and everyone should go. Like, right now.

  2. Cars & Coffee - While we love seeing a nice clean muscle car, this is quite the event here in the Tulsa area. Per our previous car show experience, we thought it would be 30-50 cool cars and done. But no. This event filled AN ENTIRE SHOPPING MALL PARKING LOT. Not even exaggerating. There were cars galore and not just one type... everyone showed up and showed out. This event happens regularly but Sawyer's mind was blown. If you love cars, this one is for you.

  3. Gathering Place - The best public park. Those are not our words, those are the words of USA Today. This is not your typical park. This is where your imagination can have at it. Kids of all ages (eh hem.... us in our 30s included) had a blast here. If you're not in the Tulsa area, plan a trip just to visit this park. ESPECIALLY if you have kids. You'll need a full day or more to fully immerse yourself. Since it's near downtown, there are plenty of places to stay and eat.

We are trying something new in 2025 called "planning ahead" so that means we will have a beautifully curated calendar of things we want to cover this year. You may not notice on your end, but for the last 2 years we have basically been flying by the seat of our britches with choosing what to film and that has worked fine, but we're not going to operate chaotically anymore. Putting final touches on our Friday videos were often happening the night before.
