Discovery After Dark filled our inner-child's soul. It was like one of those experiences where adults enter a building and immediately turn into kids. This was a really fun experience. We HIGHLY recommend it! This particular event was for 21+, but we could tell that this place is amazing for kids and families any other time. We will keep our eyes peeled for when they do this adults only event again because we thoroughly enjoyed it and will likely go again.
What is it?
Discovery Lab is an interactive kids' science museum & play center offering educational exhibits & DIY crafts.
However, the Discovery After Dark Event included:
Balloon splatter painting, tie dyeing shirts, cotton candy goodness, music, and BIG science demos!
This 21+ event will took place on Friday, February 2nd, 2024 from 7-10 p.m. With admission, guests received: one drink ticket, one cotton candy, access to color lab activities! Additional drinks and food were available for purchase.

Where is it?
It is located along the Arkansas River in Tulsa, right beside The Gathering Place.

Who can enjoy this experience?
This particular event was for adults 21+, so if you enjoy scientific-esque activities and being around other adults letting loose and enjoying themselves in a wholesome way, this is for you!
Any other time, Discovery Lab caters towards children. According to the Discovery Lab website, “Educational content focuses on Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Math (STEAM), and health and wellness, and complements and supplements current school curriculum.”
If you have kiddos, and you live in the Tulsa area, this place is contagious with creativity and curiosity! I would’ve LOVED coming here as a kid!!
When can you go?
The Discovery After Dark is a ticketed event that only happens every once in a while.
The Discovery Lab hours any other time (according to the website):
Members-Only Monday Mornings: 9:30 AM - 10:30 AM
Monday: 10:30 AM - 5:00 PM
Tuesday - Saturday: 9:30 AM - 5:00 PM
Sunday: 11:30 AM - 5:00 PM
Closed: Thanksgiving, Christmas Day, and for New Year's Eve (ticketed event)*Reservations are not necessary at this time. Come when you wish and let the fun begin!
